GFI’s Response to COVID-19 in Ohio – last updated August 6, 2021
GFI is committed to serving the needs of the public while also working to ensure the safety and health of our customers, staff and the community. Based on the latest news about the COVID-19 Delta Variant, GFI now requires a mask for everyone entering the facility.
While GFI Virtual Services remain available, we also want to support social distancing in our facility by limiting participation in our Group Fitness classes and tutoring sessions. All staff members and clients will be required to wear face masks, and temperatures will be checked upon entry. We have executed enhanced cleaning measures, including the cleaning of all computer surfaces and peripheral devices, all tutoring supplies, and all fitness equipment on a regular cleaning schedule. In addition to making hand sanitizer available, we will continue to encourage our staff to follow hygiene best practices in the workplace, including frequent hand-washing and regularly cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and equipment. We have also installed separate air purifiers with UVC sanitizer features to ensure virus-free air within both our Fitness and Learning Centers. Finally, GFI Staff members have all been vaccinated to help with minimizing the spread of this deadly virus.
We encourage any concerned customers, especially those who are at higher risk of contracting this virus, to cancel any scheduled sessions if they are feeling ill or concerned about potential exposure. We will keep you informed of any additional changes in operation as this public health situation continues.
