Reach the Unreachable – part 3 of 3

glory

Welcome back! This is part 3 of my 3-part series on REACH THE UNREACHABLE. Today, I want to talk about spiritual fitness and how it ties into my journey.

Like it or not, we are spiritual beings. It does not matter if you believe in God the creator, you are still a spiritual being. You are made of a body, a soul, and a spirit. Your body is the physical part of you that allows you to connect and interact with this physical world. Your soul is what makes you who you are. Your spirit is what animates you, gives you life, and allows you to connect and interact with God. If you are a child of God, meaning you belong to Him and His Kingdom, His Holy Spirit resides in you, and directs your spirit.

When we recognize that we are spiritual beings, we begin to understand that our spirit needs to be taken care of just as our body and mind. My journey to Glorified Fitness has led me to focus on the health of our body, mind, and spirit. This is a holistic approach to fitness that we all need, in order to be complete.

A great man once told me that if you have an unhealthy spirit, an unhealthy body will soon follow. Consequently, when you have an unhealthy mind, an unhealthy spirit can follow. Essentially, when you fix your mind, you can fix your spirit, and when you fix your spirit, you can fix your body.

So, I am sure your next question is how do you fix your mind? Our mind is a very powerful part of who we are. When you think negative thoughts, it can have a negative impact on your spirit. When you think positive thoughts, it can have a positive impact on your spirit. Our thoughts are influenced by our surroundings. When you surround yourself with negativity or violence, your thoughts tend to drift toward things that are negative and violent. On the other hand, when you surround yourself with positivity and love, your thoughts will drift towards things that are positive and lovely. The bible tells us in Philippians 4:8-9 what we SHOULD be thinking about. We should think about those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and worthy of praise. These are the characteristics of Jesus Christ, and when we focus on these things, the God of peace shall be with us. How? God’s Holy Spirit will reside within us.

Now that you have your mind focused on the right things, you can work on fixing your spirit. Inherently, your spirit will start to improve, just because your mind is in the right place. However, you don’t just want your spirit to improve, you want it to be healthy and whole. The simplest way to accomplished this is by connecting with your creator. There is no person, place, or thing that can uplift your spirit like God can, through reading His Word, or by communing with Him through prayer. However, if you are not ready for that, you can start small. Listen to the inspirational sounds of Christian and Gospel music. Let it minister to your heart and breathe new life into your spirit.

This is what you can expect with Glorified Fitness. Any time you add a spiritual element to what you are doing, you increase your chances for success, in this case, fitness success. If you follow me on my journey to REACH THE UNREACHABLE, you will hear the sounds of inspiration and see motivational messages that will inspire you to go beyond what you ever imagined. This is a proven concept that I live by, and I want to share it with YOU through my new business, Glorified Fitness, Incorporated.

Just to recap this series, when you have a healthy mind, a healthy spirit can follow. When you have a healthy spirit, a healthy body can follow. When you have a healthy body, mind, AND spirit, you can be whole. My journey to Glorified Fitness is leading me down the path to being whole and I want to take you all with me on this journey. Please stay tuned for my next update.

Until we meet again, I pray blessings for your life! Merry Christmas!
