Fitness Tips – Day 8 (Warm-ups)

Today’s fitness tips are warmup exercises. Keep in mind, these moves are not all-inclusive, meaning there are plenty of other exercises that are not mentioned. These are just meant to give you some moves to try. Be sure to warm up the muscles you plan to exercise during your workout. We have included combination exercises that can warm up your muscles for total body workouts. Depending on the length of your actual workout, your warmup should last for 5-15 minutes, and your cool down time should match your warmup time.

The attached video has the following exercise options:

  • Arm Circles – wide and narrow – front and back
  • Swimmer Arms – breast and back strokes
  • March in place – add alternating arm swings
  • Butterfly crunches
  • Toe Touches
  • Standing Toe Touches
  • Squat to jumping jacks
  • Jumping jacks to back lunge with praying hands
  • High knee march
  • Slow high knee march
  • Jog in place
  • Side tap with arm reach
  • Step up and reach
  • Lunge and twist
  • Butt kickers
